Prague Airport is currently working on improving the roads around the terminal buildings. Starting from 3 March and lasting until 30 June 2025, there will be some traffic limitations on Aviatická road and around the PB parking building as we repair the second road in front of Terminal 1 and modify the parking building.

These road repairs will be carried out in different stages, each requiring temporary traffic changes close to the airport’s terminal buildings.

Stage 1 (3 March – 31 March 2025)

Updates for drivers:

  • The left entry barrier on the first road will be closed, and traffic will be redirected to the right entry barrier, which will stay open.
  • The second road in front of the terminal will be closed, but we will make sure the third and fourth pedestrian crossings at the beginning of the road are still accessible.
  • The right entry barrier at the P1 parking area will be closed.
  • The left and middle exit barriers at the P1 parking area will be shut for about 10 days starting 10 March; however, the right exit barrier will still be open for traffic.

Updates for public transport users:

  • The public transport exit stop at Terminal 1 will be temporarily moved to the area under the overpass on Aviatická road starting 3 March (around 5:30 a.m., which is when daily operations begin). Suburban lines will continue to stop there.
  • The boarding stop for public transport at Terminal 1 will be out of service from 3 March. Passengers wishing to leave from the airport can board at the Terminal 2 stop instead. Those arriving at Terminal 1 should go to the Terminal 2 public transport stop for departures.
  • A new temporary boarding stop for the AE line will be set up at the PA Smart parking building from 3 March 2025 (starting around 5:30 a.m.). The AE exit stop will also be relocated to under the overpass on Aviatická road, alongside other moved stops.
  • Charter buses and coaches will use Parking B in front of Terminal 2 during this second road closure.

Stage 2 (1 April – 30 April 2025)

Updates for drivers:

  • The left entry barrier on the first road will still be closed, with the right entry barrier remaining fully functional.
  • The second road in front of the terminal will remain closed. We will ensure that the third and fourth pedestrian crossings at the beginning of the road are operational.
  • The exit from the first road in front of Terminal 1 will be shut down. However, drivers can exit through the connecting building between terminals and continue in front of Terminal 2.
  • The right entry barrier at the P1 parking area will continue to be closed.

Updates for public transport users:

  • The temporary exit stop for public transport at Terminal 1 will remain under the overpass on Aviatická road. Suburban lines will stop there as they regularly do.
  • The public transport boarding stop at Terminal 1 will still be out of service, so passengers leaving from the airport can board at the Terminal 2 stop. Those arriving at Terminal 1 should go to the Terminal 2 public transport stop for departures.
  • The temporary boarding stop for the AE line will remain at the PA Smart parking building. The AE exit stop will still be located under the overpass on Aviatická road, alongside other relocated stops.
  • Charter buses and coaches will continue to utilize Parking B in front of Terminal 2 during the second road closure.

Stage 3 (1 May – 31 May 2025)

Updates for drivers:

  • A portion of the right lane will be closed before reaching the first road, including the right entry barrier.
  • The second road in front of the terminal will still be closed. We will ensure that the first and second pedestrian crossings in the latter part of the second road remain open.
  • The left exit barrier on the first road will be closed, allowing traffic to exit through the right exit barrier, which will stay open.
  • The right exit barrier at the P1 parking area will be closed; the left and middle exit barriers will continue to be open.

Updates for public transport users:

  • The temporary exit stop for public transport at Terminal 1 will still be located under the overpass on Aviatická road, with suburban lines stopping there as they typically do.
  • The public transport boarding stop at Terminal 1 will continue to be out of service, so boarding for departures from the airport is available at the Terminal 2 stop. Passengers arriving at Terminal 1 should make their way to Terminal 2 for their departure.
  • The temporary boarding stop for the AE line will remain at the PA Smart parking building. The AE exit stop will still be found under the overpass on Aviatická road, along with other relocated stops.
  • Charter buses and coaches will use Parking B in front of Terminal 2 for the length of the second road closure.

Stage 4 (1 June – 30 June 2025)

Updates for drivers:

  • A section of the left lane will be closed by the entry to the P1 parking area; however, all entry barriers will remain fully operational.
  • The second road in front of the terminal continues to be closed. We will make sure that the first and second pedestrian crossings in the later part of the second road are operational.
  • The left exit barrier on the first road in front of Terminal 1 will remain closed, with the right exit barrier remaining available for use.
  • Exiting from the P1 parking area will continue to be restricted because of the closure of the right exit barrier; however, the left and middle exit barriers will stay open.

Updates for public transport users:

  • The public transport exit stop at Terminal 1 will still be temporarily located under the overpass on Aviatická road, where suburban lines will continue to stop as normal.
  • The public transport boarding stop at Terminal 1 will remain out of service, and departures from the airport can be boarded at Terminal 2. Passengers who arrive at Terminal 1 should go to Terminal 2 for their departure.
  • A temporary boarding stop for the AE line will still be at the PA Smart parking building. The exit stop for AE will also remain under the overpass on Aviatická road, along with other relocated stops.
  • Charter buses and coaches will still be using Parking B in front of Terminal 2 during the ongoing closure of the second road.

Prague Airport apologize for any inconvenience caused by these restrictions during the road reconstruction process. We are confident that these improvements will significantly enhance the comfort of all passengers traveling to and from the airport.
