Prague Airport is set to hire around 300 new employees as part of its recruitment campaign that is being launched this year. In preparation for the busy summer season, the airport is mainly looking for staff to handle operations, while also seeking specialists for its various development projects.

“We firmly believe that our employees are the foundation of our success. Because of this, we are putting them at the forefront of our recruitment efforts. Similar to last year, we are kicking off this campaign in January, aiming to ensure we have enough staff in place for the summer season, which is the busiest and most challenging time of the year for operations. Additionally, we anticipate a record-breaking year with over 18 million passengers, and we are also eager to continue our ongoing development projects. Therefore, we are excited to welcome outstanding new team members who will assist us in not only meeting our summer goals but also contributing to our long-term vision,” said Pavel Východský, a member of the Prague Airport Board of Directors responsible for human resources.

The first part of the recruitment campaign showcases Prague Airport as a modern and vibrant workplace that will be developing more advanced infrastructure with greater capacity in the coming years. The promotional video that launched the campaign features current employees at the airport alongside visual representations of what the airport is expected to look like after 2030.

Starting in February, the campaign will evolve to emphasize specific job roles, focusing especially on security roles and operational positions. Nevertheless, the airport is also on the lookout for skilled professionals who can aid in preparing and executing their development initiatives. In total, the goal is to recruit around 300 new staff members. The recruitment campaign will primarily be promoted online but will also include radio advertisements and posters in public transport systems. Recruitment events will take place directly at the airport on March 7 and 8, where interested individuals can learn more about the various positions available.

The airport is particularly welcoming to applications from people just starting their careers. “For instance, last year we collaborated with twenty schools and hosted 261 students who completed their practical vocational training with us. We reached nearly 600 students last year through presentations to explain how our company and its subsidiaries operate,” explained Martina Klecker Kněžourová, the Director of Human Resources Management at Prague Airport. She added, “We are not solely focused on hiring based on experience; we are also searching for individuals with the right personality traits—those who are eager to learn and grow. We typically train new hires in all the necessary skills to perform their jobs at the airport. This is one of the many reasons we are consistently ranked among the top employers in the Czech Republic for students and recent graduates.”

Czech Airlines Handling, a branch of Prague Airport, is also participating in the recruitment campaign, looking to fill roles such as check-in staff, baggage handlers, and aircraft cleaning workers, including a Ramp Control supervisor. In total, there are 75 positions available.

Currently, Prague Airport employs 2,930 individuals across over 600 different job roles, with 545 of those working for the subsidiary Czech Airlines Handling. More details about career opportunities at Václav Havel Airport Prague can be found at pracenaletisti.jobs.cz.
