Starting with this summer’s flight schedule, the route between Prague and Zagreb will be reintroduced to the flights offered at Václav Havel Airport Prague. Croatia Airlines will provide this connection as its third service from Prague beginning in July. The airline has already begun selling tickets for passengers.
Passengers will have the opportunity to fly regularly to the Croatian capital, Zagreb, three times each week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in the afternoon. Flights will depart from Prague at 2:10 p.m., reaching Zagreb by 3:20 p.m. Likewise, flights returning to Prague will leave Zagreb at 12:10 p.m. and arrive back in Prague by 1:20 p.m. Croatia Airlines will operate these flights using Airbus A220-300 aircraft that can carry up to 149 passengers. The initial flight for this route will take place on July 2nd, and the service will be provided until the end of the summer season.
“We are excited to welcome back Zagreb to our list of destinations after nearly six years, thanks to our strong partnership with Croatia Airlines. This move aligns with our goal of connecting Prague with all European capitals by air. In 2019, over 25,000 passengers traveled this route. Croatia continues to be a favored vacation spot for many tourists from the Czech Republic, and we anticipate that the reconnect will also attract business travelers,” said Jaroslav Filip, the Aviation Business Director at Prague Airport.
“We are thrilled to increase our flight offerings with the new seasonal route from Prague to Zagreb. We believe that many travelers from the Czech Republic will appreciate the fast and convenient travel option to Croatia, and it will encourage them to explore the stunning natural, cultural, and historical attractions that Zagreb—and Croatia as a whole—has to offer. We’re excited to provide our passengers with an exceptional flying experience aboard our new Airbus A220 aircraft, which is designed to be more advanced and environmentally friendly,” commented Jasmin Bajić, President and CEO of Croatia Airlines.
Along with the return of regular flights between Prague and Zagreb, Croatia Airlines will also be increasing its capacity for the already existing route to Dubrovnik from Prague. Starting in May, this service will be available twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays. Moreover, Croatia Airlines will also offer flights to Split from Prague twice weekly during the summer season, specifically on Mondays and Saturdays.
Passengers interested in traveling to Zagreb and other destinations can conveniently purchase tickets online at the airline’s official website.
