Ever since November, Prague will have yet another connection with Geneva. Low-cost EasyJet airlines will start flying to Switzerland’s second-largest city. The line will operate three times a week, announces Prague Airport in a press release.
It will fly in both directions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The company will deploy an Airbus A320 for 180 passengers. According to airport estimates, up to 48,000 people, a year could use the line.
Geneva may also be a transfer point for some travelers as EasyJet will start to operate a line connecting to Jordanian Aqaba. However, low-cost airlines Ryanair fly directly from Prague to the Jordanian capital Amman, which lies near the Dead Sea. In contrast, Aqaba is located in the southern part of the Gulf of Aqaba. Prague to Geneva is also served by Swiss Air.
Geneva is located on a lake of the same name, dominated by the famous Jet d’Eau fountain. There are also many promenades along its banks. The city has many sights and is also considered an important business and banking center as well as a watchmaker’s center. There is also a well-known car showroom located in Geneva.
