Another company announced that from the end of October of this year, the Dreamliner would fly under their colours to Ruzyně Airport. The Korean Air Boeing 787-9 aircraft will hold up to 269 passengers in three classes from Prague to Seoul three times a week.
It will not be the first Dreamliner to fly from Vaclav Havel Airport during the winter season – as early as August, Qatar Airways announced that from October 28, 2018, it would regularly send its Dreamliner on the Doha route (we wrote here).
Korean Air confirms the increasing popularity of Prague Airport. “We are very glad that we can introduce the most modern aircraft from our fleet to the passengers between Prague and Seoul. I firmly believe that Dreamliner will positively contribute to consolidating Korean Air’s position in Prague, which is also one of Europe’s most popular destinations, “said Yeong Ho Choe, Korean Air General Manager for Central and Eastern Europe.
“The use of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in Prague will be in line with our responsible approach to sustainable development, especially the solution of noise pollution from air traffic,” said Václav Řehoř, Chairman of the Prague Airport Board of Directors. It is one of the quietest aircraft of the present.
Dreamliner Is Unique
The design of the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is unique. It is the first commercial aircraft whose fuselage is made of carbon fibre materials. This significantly reduces its weight, which consumes approximately 20% less fuel than older models. This also means lower emissions.
Even the interior of an aeroplane differs from what a passenger normally sees in other aircraft. The whole interior is illuminated by the latest LED technology that varies according to weather conditions and weather.
Instead of the plastic shutters used in other aircraft, each window is equipped with a button to darken or make the glass transparent.
The aeroplane has six first-class seats, eighteen business class seats, and 245 seats in the economy class. It will regularly fly from Prague on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 18:30.
